Taking the time to regularly reflect whether it be on your work, how you interact with others or something as important as your health and well-being is the most effective way to manage health & well-being challenges and begin to take the necessary steps to overcome them. However, finding an effective way to self-reflect on a regular basis can be quite the challenge.

To help simplify this experience, we created the Avail check-up. More specifically, the Avail check-up was developed with our clinical team, data scientists, wellness experts and users to produce an evidence based, digital assessment that measures what we collectively believe are the ten most pertinent categories that make up an individuals overall well-being.

Each week when you complete your check-up, you're asked one question related to each of these ten categories. Using your responses and some fancy math (more on this later) we calculate a score for each category.

10 Well-Being Categories = 10 Questions Each Week

When you complete your check-up each week, Avail looks at the difference between how you answer each question and how a "health individual" (HI) would answer the question. The values we use to represent this HI were developed through the completion of more than 300,000 check-ups & 40,000 users -- learn more about how we developed the Avail check-up.

The size the "difference" between your response and the HI that we referenced above, either positive or negative, dictates the score that is displayed (some concern, room to improve, thriving).

Some Concern:
Your check-up responses indicate an increased risk of developing a mental health or well-being related issue as compared to the average healthy population. We suggest focusing your efforts on improving topics with this status.

Room To Improve:

Your check-up responses indicate a slightly increased risk of developing a mental health or well-being related issue as compared to the average healthy population.

Thriving:

Your check-up responses indicate low or no risk of developing a mental health or well-being related issue as compared to the average healthy population.
